Bill Belson will describe his product development organization and his experiences implementing lean design practices to simplify design and meet schedules. Collaboration with designers of Toyota vehicles has provided Bruno with valuable knowledge of Toyota engineering methods and processes. In addition, he will detail how they challenged themselves to initiate key elements such as customer visits, A3 problem solving and other value added tools. Bill will describe how he helped the organization fit his new NPD(New Product Development) system to its product development project management practices and aligned it with its constant improvement goals. Lastly, Bill will provide a tour and provide insight on the daily operations of the business and valuable information about Bruno Independent Living Aids, Inc.

"Bert" is revered as the Steve Jobs of ABB Robotics. He affirms that Apple was successful because they paid attention to the end-user, and it was with this philosophy that Bert will present the essential models for successful business generations. The three models for discussion are re the "Legacy," "Freemium," and "App-Store" business models. With the proper business model usage, it can supply target specific companies with the proper organization for success.

Another aspect Bert will discuss is the benefits of Robot Studio and how the implementation of the software helps make everyone become more efficient at their daily operations. He believes innovation is necessary for success and it has benefits such as better productivity, reduced risks, higher margins, and satisfied customers. Another innovation Bert will elaborate on is the user stories with visual reality glasses to bring the consumer closer to the products and services provided by ABB Robotics. He will conclude the presentation with a tour of the facility and describe his day-to-day operations, challenges, and opportunities as a Product Manager.

Anna-Karin Holmqvist"We have to develop the best people. You can have the best product, but if you have the wrong people. you will fail." This presentation will discuss the STAR model behavioral interview techniques, interview preparations, proper application processes,  competency testing, the life of a Swedish employee, and employment benefits in Sweden. In addition, Anna-Karin will further discuss her HR role and Autoadapt's business policies and the company philosophies.



"What is your motivation for implementing your idea?" This is the main focus of Håkan Sandberg's presentation. He will discuss the steps necessary to conceptualize and properly execute a business plan. He will go into detail about the mission, vision, business idea, strategic intent, financial projections, competitive strategy statement,  distribution strategy, customer strategy, brand strategy, and customer/investor relations. By the end of the presentation, students will have, at an MBA level,  the steps to transform a business plan into a seven page consolidated and concise document. Lastly, Håkan will discuss the importance of cash, organic growth, trend setting, and understanding the end-user.

Lars gave us a detailed tour of the SKF manufacturing facility. SKF provides another learning experience of a manufacturing facility. This tour will provide a visual experience from how a brick of steel is transformed into a ball-bearing. In addition, it will show how computing services, ABB robots, and assembly line workers are being utilized in lean procedures for higher product optimization. With a tour of the facility, we will ascertain a vast array of knowledge pertaining to the business procedures of SKF, the history of SKF, and the development cycle of SKF products.

The biggest learning experience from this presentation will consist of how to sell a product with enthusiasm, passion, and courage. By describing the core business and the technology being implemented by Smart Eye, Magnus will have the ability to demonstrate the importance of believing 100% in the vision of a company. At the end of the presentation, we will be able to tour the facility and be provided the experience to test a few Smart Eye products. The sample products that are available to use are the eye tracking video game and the advertisement eye tracking analysis.

This will provide a deeper understanding of his specific position requirements of creativity, hard work, strong observation skills, and the ability to understand workflow interviews and the ability to identify bottle neck problems. He will then discuss the importance of college and the misconceptions of business success and the thought processes that will better equip college students when entering the workforce.  Then, Per will depict the four steps necessary to produce a great product, which is: user studies, work flow analysis, case study scenarios, and user design validation observations. He will conclude his presentation with the description of "Skunk Work", how to best service the end-user, producing and implementing a vision, selling a vision internally, and what it means to be successful in the business world. His philosophy is one has to be structured and organized and have the ability to implement old processes and concepts and evolve them into new ideas and projects. Most importantly though, one must enjoy what they are doing and have fun.

Pär Svensson's core theme for his presentation will be "It's hard to ask somebody about an experience that they haven't had yet. You have to just show them." He will discuss storytelling, innovation, brand recognition, and Stylt Trampoli's process for success. Their process consists of developing a story, the designing process, and the success of their project. Some models they use to better service their customers are the Marketing Mix or Four P's model, Simon Sinek's Golden Circle and the Smile to Price model. Pär will conclude with the operations of the business and the uniqueness of the business.
